Tenants’ Neighbourhood Experiences
The project is investigating tenants’ experiences of their neighbourhood social and physical environment and how well it meets the needs of whānau. It will also explore whether practices such as whanaungatanga, manaakitanga, and kaitiakitanga are supported by the design of the housing development and the availability of the community infrastructure. Tenants’ participation in placemaking activities and their sense of belonging to place and experiences of safety and security will also be investigated.
Project leads: Elinor Chisholm and Amber Logan
