Encompassing Wellbeing Framework

A wellbeing framework drawn from the international wellbeing literature has been developed to help in the design of the adult wellbeing survey that is being used at each site. This framework is designed to be broad enough to encompass a variety of approaches to the study of wellbeing, but it cannot be specific to all cultures that are pertinent to New Zealand, including Māori and Pasifika world views. Accordingly, a companion framework that addresses wellbeing through a Te Ao Māori lens is being prepared drawing on wellbeing frameworks from a range of Māori wellbeing experts in Aotearoa. A Pasifika lens on wellbeing is also being prepared. Each of these lenses on wellbeing will be utilised in the analysis of the adult wellbeing survey.
