Overarching aim

There are rich sources of data already available about public housing tenants and similar communities in Aotearoa. To access these, we will use a large national data base, called the Integrated Data Infrastructure (IDI) that holds de-identified information about people and households, including health, education, income and housing data. This data will provide important context for our study of wellbeing outcomes for individuals, households and communities through better provision of quality housing. The collection and analysis of all data in the programme has been authorised by the University of Otago’s Ethics Committee and, where required, the housing providers' ethics committees in terms of the methods we will use to maintain individual privacy, including the anonymisation of data.
